Todd Goodwin, M.S., BCH, FNGH
Board Certified Hypnotist
Certified Master Practitioner of NLP
Board Certified Fellow, National Guild of Hypnotists
Todd Goodwin is in rare company as a Board Certified Fellow of the National Guild of Hypnotists, since only one in every 500 hypnotists have earned that designation. He is also a certified Master Practitioner of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and a member of the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine. Todd has studied human behavior since 1995, earning a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons University in Boston. Since opening Goodwin Hypnosis (formerly the Miami Hypnosis Center) in 2007, Todd has helped thousands of clients to resolve a wide range of challenges, including stress, anxiety, trauma, smoking, and other unwanted habits.
Todd has been trained by several experts in human behavior, including Dr. John Demartini, originator of the transformational Demartini Method. As part of his rapid change work with clients, Todd also employs an innovative, multi-sensory version of Integral Eye Movement Therapy as a faster and more powerful alternative to EMDR with broader applications, including post-traumatic stress, uncontrollable behaviors and habits, irrational fears, and thought-based problems like worrying.
Todd has given numerous presentations on these topics to physicians and medical staff at Baptist Health and Jackson Health System’s teaching hospitals, as well as to medical students at the University of Miami. He has held workshops at Canyon Ranch, the International Employee Assistance Professionals Association, and Miami-Dade County’s health and fire departments. Todd has also been interviewed and featured by various media outlets, including the Miami Herald, Telemundo, and local radio programs.
Currently, Todd sees private clients primarily for the rapid resolution of emotional trauma and its emotional and behavioral consequences, including emotional distress, anxiety, fears, panic, and unwanted behaviors. His strategy is to identify and resolve the underlying causes of these personal issues, instead of merely addressing symptoms. His mission is to help people “wake up” and develop a greater awareness of the relationship between their mind, body, health, and life experiences, so they can think, feel, and do better.
Todd has co-facilitated hypnosis certification courses. Click here to watch him demonstrate a few techniques.
He has co-hosted Wake Up Calls with Todd and Gina Goodwin, an educational podcast that explored a variety of human behavior topics, including health and wellness, relationship issues, overcoming emotional challenges and unwanted habits, and much more.
Todd is also the author of the book, Break the Chains of Smoking: How to Escape the Mental and Emotional Prison That Keeps You Addicted, and creator of its accompanying 30-day hypnosis system.
Gina Goodwin, BCH
Board Certified Hypnotist
Certified Master Practitioner of NLP
Gina Goodwin (formerly Casola) is a certified Master Practitioner of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and among the 2% of hypnotists in the USA who have been awarded the designation of Board Certified Hypnotist by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH).
After suffering emotionally from the death of her mother in 2012, she sought help at Goodwin Hypnosis (formerly the Miami Hypnosis Center) to resolve her grief, emotional trauma, and resulting unhealthy coping behaviors. Inspired by her own remarkable results (read her testimonial here), Gina studied hypnotism and was certified as a hypnotist in 2014.
Gina subsequently earned her Board Certification from the NGH in 2017 and has rapidly become one of the most capable and effective hypnotists in practice. In addition to studying and practicing the Demartini Method, she has also successfully modeled Todd’s methods to accurately assess human emotional and behavioral patterns and deploy a powerful set of emotional resolution techniques, including a multi-sensory form of Integral Eye Movement Therapy.
Gina’s unique perspective differentiates her from other hypnotists, as she has personally experienced both profound suffering and liberation from that suffering. She “gets it” and is committed to empowering her clients to experience similar breakthroughs with the same methods that helped her. She still believes that her mother’s death was part of a greater plan for her to help others heal themselves.
Gina has helped clients address a variety of issues, including emotional trauma, smoking cessation, eating habits, anxiety and stress, irrational fears, fear of failure/success/rejection, low self-esteem and confidence, sleep problems, and grief.
She has co-hosted Wake Up Calls with Todd and Gina Goodwin, an educational podcast that explored a variety of human behavior topics, including health and wellness, relationship issues, overcoming emotional challenges and unwanted habits, and much more.
