Todd Goodwin is among the 2% of hypnotists in the USA who have been awarded the designation of Board Certified Hypnotist by the National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH). He is also a certified Master Practitioner of neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and a member of the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine. Todd has studied human behavior since 1995, with a bachelors degree in Behavioral Science from Washington University in St. Louis and a masters degree in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons College in Boston. He began his hypnotism training in 2006 and opened the Miami Hypnosis Center in 2007.
Todd has trained with a number of experts in hypnotism and human behavior, and one of his significant influences has been Dr. John Demartini, originator of the transformational Demartini Method. As part of his rapid change work with clients, Todd also employs an innovative, multi-sensory form of Eye Movement Integration as a faster and more powerful alternative to EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) with broader applications, including post-traumatic stress, compulsive habits and addictions, phobias, and thought-based problems like worrying.
Most of Todd’s work involves helping clients reduce emotional stress and eliminate anxiety, fears, and panic attacks. He also specializes in public speaking, test anxiety, and insomnia. His primary strategy is to identify and resolve the real problems that cause these emotional or behavioral issues, instead of merely treating symptoms.
